Camping La Venise de l’Ouest is a dog-friendly campsite in Sarthe, perfect for holidaymakers wishing to go on holiday with their dog. Located in La Ferté-Bernard, our campsite that accepts dogs offers a fenced-in dog park where dogs can run, play and exert themselves freely and safely. Dog games are also available to provide a true leisure area dedicated to four-legged companions.
To ensure the comfort of animals during their stay, several 'dog bars' will be installed in June 2026 within the campsite, featuring accessible water points. Thanks to its natural surroundings in the Pays de la Loire region, our campsite is ideal for a nature weekend, a family holiday with your dog, or a stay close to walking routes, the lake, and outdoor activities in La Ferté-Bernard.
IMPORTANT: Dogs entering the park must be sociable with other dogs and humans. The campsite accepts no responsibility for any behavioural problems of a dog towards a third party. Every owner is responsible for their animal's behaviour.

Just a 2-minute walk from the campsite, the La Ferté-Bernard lake allows dogs and dog swimming, perfect for cooling off and sharing moments of relaxation with your four-legged companion. Dogs are allowed to swim in the entire lake, except for the designated swimming area for humans and the boarding beach. The 45-hectare leisure centre also offers many walking areas and a nature trail accessible to dogs and their owners.
The town centre of La Ferté-Bernard, nicknamed the Venice of the West, also offers electric boat trips that welcome dogs. You can discover the canals and local heritage while enjoying an original activity with your pet.
